A federal judge has rejected three different federal Government plans to balance the wild salmon of hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River is himself off the case.
US District Judge James Redden sent an email to lawyers Tuesday said he had asked that the case is moved.
Redden gave reason to resign. He was 82 and had taken on a reduced workload for quite some time.
Redden has been a champion for wild salmon and the Endangered Species Act, said Pat Ford, Executive Director of save our Wild Salmon, a coalition of conservation groups that bring litigation soon after salmon started going to threatened and endangered species list in the mid-1990s.

Defenders of Democratic health law quickly dismissed Friday dismal poll numbers as a statistical coincidence will have an impact a little to no impact on the 2012 election.
Monthly report from the Kaiser Family Foundation registered the lowest level of support to law because it imposed on March 27, 2010, with 51 percent of respondents have an unfavorable view of versus 34 percent in favor. The main reason: the shrinking of Democratic support. Only 52 percent of the Democrats now have a good view of the law, Kaiser found.
"I am definitely not pleased with this development, but I'm not going to take too many of the figures in these polls," said Pollack. "They shouldn't surprise anyone to at least one reason is clear: the public discourse is mainly derived from the base of the GOP" who have "negative" about uniform law.
It will be changed next year after the Republic voted Democratic candidates and go on offense as the Supreme Court considers the constitutionality of laws.
"I think as we move closer to a more balanced exposure more balanced point of view, we will see a reversal," said Pollack.

President Obama's recent announcement of U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq is welcome news. Iraq war is the second-longest war in American history after Afghanistan. United States has been at war for months 102 so far; longer than the time war, Viet Nam, Korea, World War II, World War I and civil war.
United States suffered a significant loss in human life and war victims also lost wealth. We lose approximately 4000 lives of young men and women and sustainable about 40,000 war injuries with varying degrees of disability. Long term effects will extend to wounded veterans medical care and the loss of their income on market value. $ 12 + Trillion national debt, almost a trillion United States dollars or 7.5%% direct costs and explicit war Iraq.
But the implicit cost of the war, including the loss of parents with young children and the loss of family members who are sick are performed for a life time. The war damage was extensive and multidimensional.
To capture the true economic costs of war, the opportunity cost approach or a previous opportunity to do a lost account such as the present value of future income flow of a soldier dying will be accepted on the market for a job/remaining life expectancy. Because of the average age of the deceased young (about 25 years), the loss of work-life expectancy is estimated at 45 years, including 50 + years of lost life expectancy. The average loss of income based on the present value of future income streams at market price during the life of the deceased soldier's expectations work amounted to about $ 10 million. Market value of the average cost of the treatment of victims disabled is estimated half a million dollars. In the calculation of the victims of disability are classified into three categories (high, average and low). The implicit costs of war are not estimated in this study.
Worth about one trillion dollars, 4,000 lives and 40,000 victims of disability, the US managed to remove Saddam Hussein and bring regime change in Iraq's Government structure of the Sunnis to Shiite domination, but there are no weapons of mass destruction were found. Is it important that changes to u.s. national security interests? In fact, the Government of Saddam Hussein is an anti-al Qaeda, anti-Iranian with secular orientation. Regime change in Iraq have been availed of a unique opportunity for Iran to extend hegemony over Iraq.
